Babette received an email this week from an aspiring young writer asking about the research process for her books.
“I was just wondering how and what you researched to do with the target audience of your books?”
“How do you understand what the audience needs and is looking for?”
Now, Babette is always supportive and encouraging of aspiring young writers, but here I’m afraid there was little she could say!
As a writer and an artist her work is simply her art form, no research required! It is simply a happy coincidence that other people like it too!
Were you to ask Picasso or Quentin Blake they would surely say the same…
